School Attendance and Pastoral Administrator - Edgbaston, Birmingham
Full-time, 37 hours per week: 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Thurs, 8.30am to 4.00pm Fri
Salary: Grade 5 £23,808 - £24,747 per annum based on hours shown above (£28,710 - £29,843 FTE)
 
Our client, located in Edgbaston, has around 650 pupils aged from 11 to 18. The school is synonymous with intellectual ambition, with a mission to offer an unrivalled education to the brightest girls in and around Birmingham irrespective of their social or economic background.  Their girls contribute to academic journals, win extraordinary awards and go onto study at the best universities.
 
They are seeking an Attendance and Pastoral Administrator to join one of the best independent day schools in the country, for 37 hours per week: 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Thurs, 8.30am to 4.00pm Fri.  There is also the option to work 4.30pm to 5.30pm each day as Library Supervisor for an additional allowance.
 
Reporting to the Deputy Head (Pastoral), the dedicated senior leader with overall responsibility for championing and improving attendance and pastoral care, the Attendance and Pastoral Administrator will have the following objectives:
 
▪ To support the promotion of pupils' wellbeing, emotional and mental health, self-esteem and social inclusion; and their attendance at school
▪ To build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration
▪ To work as part of a wider pastoral team, and where appropriate with parents, to support pupils, whatever their needs, and to help pupils access appropriate support
Knowledge of CPOMS, SIMS and Microsoft Teams would be desirable, although training can be provided.
