Our Client is an independent preparatory school for girls aged 2-11 and they are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic School Nurse to join their team and be responsible for the health and welfare of all the pupils and staff.
 
This is a key role effectively communicating with members of our School community to promoting good health and well-being within the School on matters such as the short and long term health needs of pupils and staff, management of childhood conditions such as asthma, diabetes and any allergies and/or dietary needs, oversight of vaccination programmes such as annual flu jabs as well as the day to day implementation of any statutory requirements.
 
The post holder is also responsible for the School's First Aid implementation and strategy and the post includes other administrative duties in support of the wider school community.
 
This position is a full-time role Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, term time only, with the addition of 1 day prior to the start of each academic term. Key Accountabilities.
 
Maintain confidentiality of information acquired while undertaking First Aid and Wellbeing First Aid duties for the School.
 
Work closely with the school's pastoral team in promoting the well-being and safeguarding of pupils.
 
Assess, advise and support first aid and wellbeing concerns when presented by pupils and staff, taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency and communicating with staff and parents as necessary and in line with school policy.
 
Administer medication where required in line with the School's First Aid and Medical Provision Policy.
